Trade association Royal Dutch Butchers helps its member improve customer experience

The Dutch sector association Royal Dutch Butchers (KNS) offers its members a unique chance to improve their customer experience using mystery shopping research. The collaboration between KNS and Secret View allows hundreds of Dutch butchers to thoroughly analyze their customer journey and learn from real customer feedback.

Mystery shopping research is one of a set of services provided by KNS, aiming to help entrepreneurs professionalize their business to increase their chances of success. “Real customer experiences are essential to achieve that.”, says Maikel Nicolai, Policy Officer Entrepreneurship & Technology at KNS. “In addition to other tools like Location Scans and internal business analyses, we can now help our members with insights from their own customers. Mystery shopping gives butchers very hands-on feedback that enables them to elevate the experience in their shops.”

The feedback comes from an extensive survey designed by KNS and Secret View, especially for members of the association. With it, butchers will receive feedback on every aspect of the customer journey – from reception to advice and closing the sale. Mystery shoppers answer the questions in the survey after visiting the shop, and the results are checked and shown in an easy, intuitive online dashboard.

Starting a research is fast and easy, too. Using Secret View’s online tool, business owners can start their own mystery shopping research within 15 minutes and get excited to receive the first mystery shopper. Over 200 butchers have started using mystery shopping research with Secret View to map their customer experience.
