SOFACOMPANY Rotterdam wins the January Experience of the Month Award! Every month, our mystery shoppers visit thousands of stores. From all these visits, we select the most notable and customer-focused experiences! Jo Anne received the award in recognition of her amazing customer service and attention to pets.

At SOFACOMPANY Rotterdam, a close-knit and knowledgeable team works under the leadership of Cynthia Verweij. A team of six employees and two interns ensures that every customer feels special. And Jo Anne, with her background in hospitality, knows better than anyone how to pamper guests.
A shopping experience that feels like coming home
What makes SOFACOMPANY so special? It's the way customers feel at home. Our mystery shopper came in with the goal of selecting a new sofa. Jo Anne listened attentively to her wishes and showed her various options.
Our mystery shopper wrote: "I really felt at home at SOFACOMPANY. It was so spontaneous and fun. The staff member was incredibly nice, listened well to what I needed, and gave honest and good advice. When I mentioned that I had pets, the staff member immediately jumped on it by pointing me to the best fabrics for pets and really took the time to explain everything. Together, we chose a sofa that perfectly matches me and my pets. I got a cup of tea, and I was allowed to take off my shoes to comfortably flop on the sofa. This way, I could really feel if the sofa was right for me. I went home with fabric samples and a brochure of the sofa I had my eye on, plus super useful tips on how to best maintain the fabrics. Truly fantastic service!"
Everyone is Welcome at SOFACOMPANY
A special aspect of SOFACOMPANY Rotterdam is their love for pets. The Rotterdam location welcomes these fluffy friends with open arms and a bowl of water, making them feel just as welcome as their owners.
Jo Anne remembers the visit well: "The customer was super enthusiastic, which made it even more fun to help and advise her. A lot of people own pets, I have them myself! So, I know better than anyone how important it is to have the right sofa fabric, so that the hairs and smell don't stick to the sofa. Really nice that I won this award with my advice and service. A great appreciation."
Cynthia, Store Manager in Rotterdam, adds: "I am incredibly proud of Jo Anne and the entire team. They put in effort every day to offer our customers the best service. Within SOFACOMPANY, we have a fun competition between all the locations, about who gets the best scores with the mystery shopping research. Overall, the scores are very good, and sometimes they are close to each other. This award is a great reward for our location, and we will definitely share this with our colleagues to make the competition even more exciting. And the award will, of course, have a place of honor in the store."
