Release Notes - Secret View Client Day Update

During the Secret View Client Day, the latest features in our platform were presented! This release is packed with useful tools, ranging from our own AI bot, Shoppy, to a smooth onboarding experience and advanced capabilities such as geo-location check-ins and the timeframe dashboard. Discover the latest features and read on to learn how these improvements will make your use of the Secret View dashboard even better and easier.

Traditionally, we roll out new features in our platform around our Secret View Client Day. These include not only brand-new features but also ongoing improvements in UX, processes, and other ongoing developments of existing features. Some are already live, and others are being tested and will be launched soon.

Shoppy, our own AI bot

One of the most important and (in our opinion) most interesting additions is the integration of ChatGPT into our platform. Our developers have spent a significant amount of time figuring out how to incorporate it into our software, and thus, Shoppy was born!

With this, the first step has now been taken. The feature will be tested in the coming period, and then our clients can provide advice on specific parts of the research at suggested points. This will result in customized advice that they can immediately put into action.

Onboarding: From Excel to a Smooth Experience in the Platform

We have a beautiful dashboard and a very smooth user experience. However, the onboarding of new clients and the development of questionnaires still happened through Excel. This was a thorn in our side, but having our own questionnaire tool is a massive feature.

That's why we are excited that this feature is coming very soon, ensuring a smooth user experience from the very beginning of the research to the final round. Questionnaires will be developed by our team within the platform. As a client, you can follow along in the tool and provide comments or suggestions for improvements. Once you are completely satisfied and the questionnaire is complete, the assignment goes live on our platform, and the mystery shoppers can get started.

Geo-location check-in

For most assignments, a receipt serves as proof that the task has been performed correctly. However, for some of our clients, you only need to conduct an advisory conversation without making a purchase. Providing proof that you were present can be challenging in such cases. That's why we have built a check-in function, leaving no doubt about whether a mystery shopper was present. Currently, the functionality is being analyzed, after which we can consider security measures and further applications.

Mystery Shopping Assignment Registration Process

We have updated the process for registering for a mystery shopping assignment. As a mystery shopper, you will now go through the registration process even more easily and have a better understanding of your task. This ensures that information is conveyed more effectively, allowing mystery shoppers to start their assignments well-prepared.

Timeframe Dashboard

Normally, we work with research rounds in which we agree with a client on how often a mystery shopper should visit. Once a week, month, or every two months is typical. However, we received requests from our clients asking if, in some cases, multiple shoppers could visit. For example, ten in a day or fifty in a week to assess whether a new location is performing well.

This may sound simple, but it means that entirely different calculations need to be made on the backend.

That's why the Timeframe Dashboard was developed. With the Timeframe Dashboard, it becomes possible to conduct different forms of research in which fixed periods, unlike our regular mystery shopping dashboard, are not necessary. This flexibility offers solutions for webshops delivering orders, stores that want to receive many mystery shoppers in a short time, and more.

Internal Audits

Virtually every retailer or hospitality entrepreneur already conducts internal audits or checks. Think of regional managers visiting a select group of stores every quarter with their own questionnaire. As an employee, you look at a location very differently than a mystery shopper because you know exactly where potential pitfalls lie.

For this purpose, we are developing a closed community platform to incorporate these audits into our software. Specific audit assignments are available there for your employees to carry out at set times. This means that you have the most important systems for measuring quality - mystery shopping and your own audits - readily available in the Secret View dashboards!
