We’re happy to welcome our newest client: DekaMarkt! The Dutch supermarket chain is starting an extensive compliance research in all 99 supermarkets in the Netherlands. The goal of this research is to improve the prevention of alcohol and tobacco sales to minors. We’ll help support DekaMarkt employees with important insights on compliance in all customer journeys.
Age verification when buying alcohol and tobacco is challenging when running a supermarket. And one that may have serious consequences if it’s not done right. DekaMarkt is taking great steps to strengthen their compliance with the start of our research.
With each store being visited every six weeks, every location is assessed regularly by one of our mystery shoppers. During their visits, they will map the performance regarding age verification in four different customer journeys. “To us, it’s very important to get insight in our compliance performance throughout the entire organization. With this research, we’re sure to give our employees the right tools to become even better.”, say DekaMarkt. The research differentiates in age verifications at the regular register, at the self-service register, the service desk and in their liquor stores. This way, every possible journey is researched.
